Our 3-hour meditation services for this month will be held on Tuesday, August 6, and Tuesday, August 20, in the Greenfield barn chapel, beginning at 6:30 pm with Energization Exercises and ending at 9:30 pm. The chapel opens at 6:15.

Our Inspirational and Prayer services for August will be held on Thursday, August 15 and Thursday, August 29, in the barn chapel on the Greenfield grounds, beginning at 7:30 pm. The chapel opens at 7:15.

We will be offering a one-day silent retreat for women on Saturday, August 24. Lunch will be provided. Pre-registration is required and you can register through August 16 on the Greenfield web site; click on the Retreats menu at the top of the page, and then click One Day Retreats to fill out and submit the online reservation form. A downloadable retreat schedule is also available on this page. The suggested cost for the retreat is $50.

Should you find that your plans change after you register for the retreat, please let us know by sending us a message from the Contact page of our website, or by calling the Greenfield retreat line, 540-635-5066.

If you like to visit Greenfield, the grounds are open from 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Sunday. You are welcome to walk the grounds and enjoy the gardens and meditation benches, or stroll around the ponds. A handicapped-access public restroom is available on the grounds for visitors’ use. Please note that the cottages and their porches are for the use of retreatants staying on the grounds, and we ask that you respect their privacy while on the grounds.

 

 

Our next Inspirational and Prayer service will be held this Thursday, July 25 in the barn chapel on the Greenfield grounds, beginning at 7:30 pm. The chapel opens at 7:15.

Although Thursday, July 25, is also Mahavatar Babaji Commemoration Day, we will instead celebrate this event on Sunday, July 28 at the Bethel Community Center, beginning at 10:30 am and ending at approximately 11:45 am. Please bring a flower to this service as a symbol of your devotion, and a donation may be given as a symbol of your loyalty to the work of Self Realization Fellowship.

Following the commemoration service, our reading service will begin at 12:00 pm and end at 1:00 pm.

We would like to ask everyone to help contribute to the atmosphere of stillness and devotion by maintaining silence when entering the chapel, as well as at the close of service, prior to leaving the chapel. By doing so, we continue the peace we achieve during meditation, both for ourselves and for others.

Beginning in July, we will be offering two three-hour mediations each month, generally on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. We will also be offering two inspirational services on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. The service times will remain the same – 6:30 pm for the three hour meditations, and 7:30 pm for the inspirational services.

This Tuesday, June 4, contractors are scheduled to be on-site at Greenfield to lay down the base coat of asphalt for our new commercial entrance. This early morning work entails paving part of the road shoulder, so the eastbound lane of Rt. 55 will be closed, and flag crews will be present to direct traffic.

During this work, the Greenfield entrance will be closed, and no vehicles will be able to enter or exit Greenfield. Please avoid driving to Greenfield during this time.

We expect the work to be completed by early afternoon, after which time the entrance will be usable. Updated information will be made available on the Greenfield devotee mail list. If you are not subscribed to this list, visit our website, srfgreenfield.org, and click on the Contact page to subscribe.
