General Retreat Information

Located in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains in Northern Virginia at the forest's edge, the Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) Greenfield Retreat offers SRF members and friends an opportunity to relax in nature and deepen their relationship with God through meditation, introspection, and study of the timeless Kriya Yoga teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.  While visiting this peaceful sanctuary, retreatants are able to put aside the demands of daily living as they renew and revitalize body, mind, and spirit.

Numerous retreats are available throughout the year, including Regional or Conducted Weekend Retreats, Women's Personal Retreats, and One-Day Retreats.

Reservations

For those who are interested in attending a personal retreat at Greenfield, we suggest that one be somewhat familiar with meditation and the SRF teachings before requesting a reservation. A stay of two or three days is usually suggested for a first retreat. Visitors who wish to attend a conducted weekend retreat should be enrolled in the SRF Lessons. A list of books by Paramahansa Yogananda and information about SRF temples, lecture tours, and the printed Lessons are available on the SRF website or upon request. To make a reservation request for an upcoming retreat please click on Retreats at the top of the page and click on the appropriate tab such as One-day retreat, Conducted retreat, etc. and fill out the Reservation Request form for that retreat. If you have general questions or want more information please email us at retreatinfo.srfgreenfield@gmail.com, or call 540-635-5066.

Donations

Conducted retreats and accommodations are offered on a donation basis. For Women’s Personal Retreats and the One-Day Retreats, the suggested donation is $50 a day per person. For Conducted Weekend Retreats, the suggested donation is $125 for the weekend. The kind support of those who are able to offer more helps us to meet the larger expenses of maintaining the Retreat facility, and will allow us to expand the program at the Greenfield Retreat and serve a growing number of SRF members and friends in the future.
