From the Spiritual Diary, March 9, Guru-Disciple Relationship: Mahasamadhi of Swami Sri Yukteswar. Swami Sri Yukteswar to Paramahansa Yogananda, before whom he appeared in the flesh on June 19, 1936, more than three months after his Mahasamadhi (a great yogi's final conscious exit from the body): "Grieve not for me....You and I shall smile together, so long as our two forms appear different in the maya-dream of God. Finally we shall merge as one in the Cosmic Beloved; our smiles shall be His smile, our unified song of joy vibrating throughout eternity to be broadcast to God-tuned souls!" - Swami Sri Yukteswar, in "Autobiography of a Yogi"

Welcome to Greenfield Retreat

The Self-Realization Fellowship Greenfield Retreat in Front Royal, Virginia is a branch of Self-Realization Fellowship, a worldwide religious organization founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1920 to teach scientific techniques of meditation that will lead to a direct, personal relationship with God. These techniques are available in a series of lessons sent to your home from our International Headquarters in Los Angeles, California. See the About section for more information on SRF and Greenfield, including the days and times when Greenfield is open to visitors.

About Meditation

Paramahansa Yogananda said "Meditation is the ability to take the mind away from every object of distraction and put it upon God alone". See SRF's guidance for meditation, and the Learn to Meditate page on the Self-Realization Fellowship website.

Autobiography of a Yogi
