We hope you will be able to join us for our special Easter weekend retreat April 3 – 5, beginning with our Good Friday service at 6:30 pm. Two nuns from Mother Center will be visiting Greenfield and leading portions of the retreat program. Saturday begins with a guided meditation at 9:30 am, followed by a vegan lunch, and concluding with a special showing of Glimpses of a Life Divine.
At 10:00 am on Easter Sunday we will be livestreaming Bro. Chidananda’s sunrise service, followed by a meditation and a period of fellowship. Registration is required for the events on Saturday, April 4, and the deadline to register is this Friday, March 27. You may register after March 27 and we will contact you if space is available. Further details and a registration form are available on the Easter Retreat page of our website.
Our fellowship event following the Easter Sunday service will feature a hot lunch with gluten-free and vegan options, dessert, and refreshments, and everyone is invited to attend. If you would like to contribute a dish to the menu, please visit the sign-up sheet on the free literature table in the foyer. A volunteer will be available if you have any questions.
On Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, we will hold a Women’s Work Retreat, offering two days of seva, meditation, fellowship, and fun. You may register for all or part or the two-day event. Space is limited, and we are able to accommodate only those who are able to participate in the work activities. Please see our website to register and indicate which portions of the retreat you plan to attend.
Please note that registration is also open on the web site for both of our Conducted Weekend Retreats to be held May 8-10 and September 25-27. Details and a registration form are available on the website.
We would like to remind everyone to help contribute to the atmosphere of stillness and devotion by maintaining silence when entering the chapel, as well as at the close of service, prior to leaving the chapel. By doing so, we continue the peace we achieve during meditation; both for ourselves and for those who may wish to stay behind and meditate for a few minutes after the service.
