Our monthly 3-hour meditation service for February will be held this Tuesday, February 6, in the Greenfield barn chapel, beginning at 6:30 pm with Energization Exercises and ending at 9:30 pm. The chapel opens at 6:15.

Next Sunday, February 11, we will have a fellowship gathering immediately following the Sunday service, including light refreshments, and everyone is invited to attend.

Our monthly Thursday evening Inspirational and Prayer service will be held on Thursday, February 15, beginning at 7:30 pm, in the barn chapel on the Greenfield grounds. The chapel opens at 7:15.

Please note that we will not have a venue for our Sunday service on February 25, 2024 and so there will be no service that day.

As a reminder, after a major weather event, please check to find out if we are having service by visiting our web site, srfgreenfield.org, or by contacting Greenfield at 540-635-5062 to hear a notification announcement on the answering machine. In addition to general road and weather conditions, we are also subject to the closing policies of the 4-H Educational Center.

We would like to remind everyone to help contribute to the atmosphere of stillness and devotion by maintaining silence when entering the chapel, as well as at the close of service, prior to leaving the chapel. By doing so, we continue the peace we achieve during meditation.

Please bring a flower to this service as a symbol of your devotion, and a donation may be given as a symbol of your loyalty to the work of Self Realization Fellowship. The service will be followed by birthday cake and a period of fellowship.

This Saturday, January 6, we will have a special meditation in honor of Paramahansa Yogananda, beginning at 10:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm, also at the 4-H Educational Center. Please bring a fruit as a devotional offering, and a donation in a white envelope may be offered.

• Please be sure to come early, and be prepared to stay at least until the intermission. No one will be permitted to enter the chapel once the meditation has begun. Arriving early will also give you time to become comfortably settled and calm before the meditation begins.
• You may bring a meditation armrest, if you wish to practice the Aum Meditation Technique during the meditation.
• If you have a cough or cold, you should meditate at home, rather than attend the all-day service. Paramahansa Yogananda insisted on scrupulous observance of this practice when he conducted the Christmas meditation.
