We are celebrating the Christmas spirit by providing Christmas gifts for the residents of the House of Hope, a local shelter for homeless men, as well providing homemade gifts for residents of a local assisted living home. Your donations toward the purchase of these gifts are welcome, and they can be left in specially marked donation boxes in the dining room. All gifts will be given in Master's name, which helps people recognize SRF as a contributing member of the Front Royal community.
This Thursday, November 23, we will have our Thanksgiving service from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Please note that there is no Study Group or Inspirational and Prayer service on this date. Also note that on Friday, November 24, the Greenfield grounds will be closed.
On Saturday, December 9, we will have our Christmas fellowship for adults and teens, starting at 5:30 pm with meditation, and followed at 6:00 pm with a potluck supper, entertainment, caroling, and a visit from Santa. There will be a gift exchange – please bring a simple gift in the five to ten dollar range; women, bring a gift for a woman; men, bring a gift for a man. Please ensure that the gifts are clearly marked. For those of you who would like to bring food for the potluck supper, we have a sign-up sheet available in the dining room where you can see and sign up for the planned menu items.
We’d like to remind you that the Greenfield Study Group meets each Thursday in the Rose cottage from 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm. The Study Group is open to all, and the current topic of study is the Bhagavad Gita. The format includes short readings and periods of meditation. Please see Ann Miller for further information.
