On Wednesday, March 7, we will commemorate the mahasamadhi of Paramahansa Yogananda with a service beginning at 7:30 pm and ending at approximately 9:00 pm. On Friday, March 9, we will commemorate the mahasamadhi of Swami Sri Yukteswar with a service beginning at 7:30 pm and ending at approximately 9:00 pm.

Please note that there will be no Tuesday night meditation on March 6, and no study group and Thursday night inspirational and prayer service on March 8.

We’d like to remind you that the Greenfield Study Group meets each Thursday in the Rose cottage from 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm. The Study Group is open to all, and the current topic of study is the Bhagavad Gita. The format includes short readings and periods of meditation. Please see Ann Miller for further information.

We’re continuing to accept donations of canned goods and other non-perishable food items in cardboard and plastic containers for area agencies that support needy families and individuals in our community.

Toiletry items, such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste, are also welcome. Your donations may be placed in the collection basket in the hallway.

We are celebrating the Christmas spirit by providing Christmas gifts for the residents of the House of Hope, a local shelter for homeless men, as well as homemade gifts for residents of a local assisted living home. Your donations toward the purchase of these gifts are welcome, and they can be left in specially marked donation boxes in the dining room.

On Saturday, December 9, we will have our Christmas fellowship for adults and teens, starting at 5:30 pm with meditation, and followed at 6:00 pm with a potluck supper, entertainment, caroling, and a visit from Santa. There will be a gift exchange – please bring a simple gift in the five to ten dollar range; women, bring a gift for a woman; men, bring a gift for a man. Please ensure that the gifts are clearly marked. For those of you who would like to bring food for the potluck supper, we have a sign-up sheet available in the dining room where you can see and sign up for the planned menu items.

The children’s Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, December 17, and there will be a short gathering after the readings service featuring caroling with the Sunday school and Teen Group classes, accompanied by a visit from Santa Claus.
